Bedrooms

Adair boasts 4 bedrooms, capable of accomodating up to 10 people. 3 rooms have queen-sized beds, and the remaining room has 2 sets of bunk beds.

During cool weather, the 3 queen-sized beds have electric blankets and woollen quilts, with summer doonas for the warmer weather. The bunk room has been provided with extra blankets and a room heater rather than electric blankets to avoid any harm through improper use to our younger guests.

When the weather warms up, Adair benefits from being in the shadow of Mt Cassell which blocks out the fierce late afternoon sun and provides cooling gully breezes most evenings. With the windows open on both sides of the house, a cooling breeze keeps temperatures inside the house comfortable.

The Lounge Room

Windows on two sides of the room gives the lounge room spectacular views across the property and out to the far horizon. It comfortably seats 10 people and is equipped with a smart TV and a DVD player.

As the relaxation hub of the house, the air conditioned lounge room has a large selection books and videos for those quieter moments, as well as a good selection of games to crank up the laughter.

Kitchen/Dining

The simple but functional farmhouse kitchen/dining room includes a generous ten-seat dining table allowing everyone to come together around a shared meal.

The kitchen is equipped with quality crockery, glassware, baking dishes, casserole dishes, Scanpan saucepans, quality cooking knives, cutlery and utensils, as well as a stab-blender, large fridge and a quality microwave. An island bench provides additional bench space and a comfortable bay window provides a perfect vantage to enjoy a quiet cup of tea while you watch the kangaroos grazing outside.

The Verandah

One of the great joys of staying at Adair are the astounding views from the house's wide verandahs.

As one of the highest properties in the Grampians, the scene encompasses a constantly changing panorama that embraces the surrounding farms, towns, lakes, forests and distant mountains. It is a view that is simply impossible to tire of.

Against this backdrop, the verandah makes for perfect alfresco dining. Comfortable outside furniture seats 10 people, and a 5 burner gas barbecue can be easily positioned to wherever is most convenient, so even the cook doesn't need to miss a minute of one of Adair's greatest shared pleasures.

Bathrooms

Adair has 2 common bathrooms and one en suite bathroom.

Each bathroom has a toilet and 2 have showers. The remaining bathroom has a deep claw-foot bath, allowing for a relaxing soak after a long bushwalk or tiring journey. The crystal-clear water that supplies the house comes from Adair's own mountain spring, which for most of the year provides plenty of water for a deep, warm bath at the end of the day.

"Adair was an amazing property near some of the best walks in the Grampians. We loved how well fitted-out every room was, and the amazing deck made for comfortable dinners outside while watching the kangaroos descend on the vast yard of the house. We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay, and we would recommend it to everyone."
